Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed, all-private, fully monitored cardiovascular ICU with patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 2:1 based on acuity
• Manage and titrate multiple vasoactive, sedation, and specialty drips including dopamine, dobutamine, levophed, epinephrine, vasopressin, propofol, fentanyl, heparin, insulin, and others per protocol or written order
• Operate and troubleshoot specialty intervention equipment including IABPs, Impella devices, Swan-Ganz catheters, ECMO, external pacemakers, and CRRT
• Manage invasive lines including PICC, midlines, CVCs, arterial lines (radial and femoral), and Swan-Ganz catheters
• Independently read, interpret, and respond to cardiac monitor strips; all patients are connected to Philips monitoring systems
• Float to all levels of care as required and assume a full patient team assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure applicable to the state of practice
• Minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience with demonstrated proficiency in cardiovascular critical care
• BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Ability to independently manage complex cardiovascular ICU patients including post-cardiac surgical, ventilated, and hemodynamically unstable patients without unit-specific training
• Proficiency with temporary pacemakers, ventilator management, and respiratory support modalities (CPAP, BiPAP, heated high-flow, nitric oxide)
• Strong cardiac strip interpretation, critical thinking, and hemodynamic assessment skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification is a plus
• Experience with immediate post-operative cardiac surgical patients (CABG, valve procedures, dissections, AAA, vascular, TAVR)
• Prior experience with VAD patients or cardiac transplant care
• Experience with EP patients and transcutaneous or transvenous pacing
