Position Responsibilities

The Special Education Teacher will:

Provide specialized instruction tailored to individual student learning needs.
Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and progress.
Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to support student success.
Maintain accurate records related to student performance and services.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, therapists, and families.
Participate in evaluations, meetings, and student support planning.
Create a structured and supportive learning environment.
Utilize classroom strategies that promote independence and academic growth.
Follow district policies and special education compliance standards.
Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related educational field
Valid Nebraska Special Education teaching certification or eligibility
Ability to meet school district employment requirements
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Passion for supporting students with disabilities
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in a school setting
Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
Experience with diverse student populations
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
