Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Multiple full-time contract positions are available for dedicated Special Education professionals, with openings district-wide for the 2026/2027 school year, from August 31, 2026 through term end.

Openings include roles for Assessment-focused Special Education Teachers, ASD Center-Based positions at the elementary level, and positions supporting students within Setting III/IV therapeutic programs. These roles involve close collaboration with general education staff, related service providers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized supports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Deliver specially designed instruction and manage ongoing assessment and documentation
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to plan and review services and progress
  • Support behavioral interventions, classroom management, and facilitate positive student behavior
  • Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and ensure compliance with IDEA and state requirements
  • Champion inclusive practices to create supportive, engaging learning environments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Current Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (or eligibility through reciprocity)
  • Demonstrated experience with IEP development and case management
  • Sound understanding of IDEA compliance
  • Exceptional communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with ASD, Resource, Self-Contained, Setting III/IV, or Assessment teaching roles
  • Knowledge of PBIS, MTSS, FBAs, and BIPs
  • Experience supporting both elementary and/or secondary students
  • Strong background in behavior management and crisis intervention
