Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Exciting opportunities are available for Special Education Teachers across multiple locations for the 2026/2027 school year. Positions include Assessment Teacher roles as well as classroom-based positions supporting students in therapeutic settings and ASD center-based programs. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
- Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to meet unique student needs
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, progress monitoring, and maintain thorough documentation
- Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student growth
- Employ evidence-based behavioral interventions and effective classroom management strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Ensure adherence to IDEA, Minnesota special education regulations, and district guidelines
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Active Minnesota Special Education teaching license, or eligibility for reciprocity
- Experience developing and managing IEPs
- Solid knowledge of special education law, compliance, and best practices in case management
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Preferred Experience:
- Expertise supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Setting III/IV, assessment-based, or resource teaching experience
- Familiarity with PBIS, MTSS, Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Direct experience with either elementary or secondary student populations
- Skilled in behavior management and crisis intervention
