Basic Requirements – Mammography Technologist

\n Experience:
\n Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic / Mammography Technologist preferred. Experience in an outpatient or clinic setting is preferred. Must demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, and diagnostic imaging equipment operation.

\n Education:

\n High School Diploma or GED – Required
\n Completion of a formal AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program or equivalent – Required
\n 40 hours of structured Mammography education – Required

\n Certifications / Licensure:

\n BLS (AHA) – Required
\n ARRT (M) – Certified Mammography Technologist – Required
\n CA Medical Radiographer License (MRAD-CA) – Required
\n ARRT (R) – Radiography – Preferred

\n Skills:

\n Knowledge of medical terminology, PACS, and electronic practice management systems
\n Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills

\n Schedule:

\n 40 hours per week
