American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a travel nursing job in Santa Monica, California.

Location: Beachside acute care hospital in Santa Monica, California
Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour (06:00 - 14:30). On-call requirements include 2 primary weekday calls (2230-0600), 2 secondary weekday calls (2230-0600), 2 primary weekend calls (12-hour shifts, 0630-1900 or 1830-0600), and 2 secondary weekend calls (12-hour shifts) per 6-week call cycle. Up to 2 weekend shifts per month. Call coverage varies based on department needs; flexibility required. Float to Main OR as needed.
Highlights:- Work at a 266-bed acute care facility in a beachside setting
- CVOR experience with cardiac procedures including TAVR, CABG, MAZE, mitral valve replacement, and atrial septal defect repair
- Cross-training opportunities in Main OR with general, orthopedic, spine, and robotic cases
- Epic charting system with interdisciplinary support from IV teams, pharmacy, and transportation
- 36-hour orientation with block scheduling available per manager discretion
- Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with 1:1 patient ratio
- Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Experience with CVOR procedures including cell saver, administration of blood products, laser safety, radiation safety, and specimen handling
- Epic or other charting system experience required
- LA fire card within the last 30 days required
- Must provide 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- First-time travelers not accepted; travel experience preferred
- Willingness to float between facilities within the state as needed
