ESS Clinical is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Educational Diagnostician to join our team in partnership with Carlsbad Municipal Schools in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
W2 and 1099 Contracts Available
\n PAY AT $60/hr W2 and $67/1099
\n
- \n
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational and educational assessments. \n
- Administer, score, and interpret standardized assessments. \n
- Prepare detailed written evaluation reports with educational recommendations. \n
- Determine student eligibility for special education services in accordance with IDEA and New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) guidelines. \n
- Participate in eligibility determination meetings, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary team meetings. \n
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to support student success. \n
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations. \n
- Assist in developing appropriate educational programming and accommodations based on evaluation findings. \n
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and information. \n
- \n
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in: \n
- \n
- Educational Diagnostics \n
- Special Education \n
- School Psychology \n
- Educational Assessment \n
- Guidance & Counseling or a closely related field \n
\n - Experience conducting educational evaluations within a school setting preferred. \n
- Strong knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and special education evaluation procedures. \n
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills. \n
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. \n
- \n
- Valid New Mexico Educational Diagnostician License issued by the New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED), or eligibility to obtain licensure before the start of employment. \n
- Candidates seeking initial New Mexico licensure must meet NMPED educational preparation requirements and applicable assessment and licensure standards. \n
- Ability to successfully complete all district onboarding requirements, background screening, and fingerprint clearance prior to employment. \n
