American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a Magnet-designated Critical Access Hospital, requiring at least 1 year of Med/Surg experience and an active IL RN license.
Details- Work setting is a 25-bed Critical Access, Magnet-designated hospital
- Assignment is on a Medical Surgical unit with floating required between two Med/Surg units and potentially to an affiliate hospital nearby
- Patient ratio is 1:6 on all shifts
- Schedule is nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend is required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Charting is done in Cerner
- Active IL RN license required, or must be actively in the application process with an ETA
- Current BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards not accepted)
- ACLS certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
- IV insertion experience required
- Cerner experience preferred
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
- Any permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have been away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
- Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- RTO requests should be discussed with the manager; up to 5 non-holiday days may be approved without facility review
- Travel pairs are not accepted
- Scrubs may be any solid color
- Parking is available on-site at no cost with a permit obtained during orientation
