\n\nJob Summary\nCuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse, Neuro PCU/IMC/Stepdown to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
\n\nResponsibilities\n- \n
- Provide comprehensive care for a specialized neurological patient population, including strokes, aneurysms, and seizures. \n
- Manage patient care for up to five Med Surg patients in a mixed acuity unit environment. \n
- Float frequently to meet staffing needs, potentially across multiple units. \n
- Administer medical drips on all assigned floors as required. \n
- Participate actively in patient hand-off and coordination with interdisciplinary teams including CNAs, care techs, and transport teams. \n
- Work two major holidays if required, and complete weekend shifts as per scheduling needs. \n
- \n
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a large urban hospital setting with prior charge nurse experience preferred. \n
- Active RN license; pending license accepted but must be obtained before the start date, with EPIC charting experience required. \n
- Certification in ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS is mandatory. \n
- Proficiency in managing cardiac drips, telemetry monitoring, and specific neurological procedures. \n
- Experience with Level I trauma centers and ability to manage patient volume with adaptable patient ratios. \n
- Commitment to a nicotine-free policy at the facility, with the ability to adhere to dress code requirements including professionally branded scrubs. \n
