Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, Trauma Level II Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population including cardiac, neuro, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory cases \n
- Manage a patient assignment of 3–4 patients per shift within an 18-bed unit that is stroke certified \n
- Perform phlebotomy, administer nebulizer treatments, and accurately document all patient care activities using Epic electronic health records \n
- Utilize Pyxis medication dispensing system for safe and accurate medication administration \n
- Collaborate with on-site radiology staff, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care \n
- Float to additional emergency department locations as needed and participate in on-call rotations on an occasional, pre-arranged basis \n

- Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license \n
- Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications (American Red Cross or American Heart Association accepted) \n
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience \n
- Trauma Level I or Level II experience required \n
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records \n
- Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt well to change in a high-acuity environment \n

- Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred \n
- Experience in a stroke-certified or high-volume trauma emergency department \n
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems \n

- Work in a dynamic, high-acuity Trauma Level II Emergency Department with a comprehensive, well-resourced care team including in-house lab, respiratory therapy, and on-site radiology \n
- Guaranteed hours per week with call-back pay available if called in during low-census on-call periods \n
