Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool position requiring at least 2 years of MS/Tele experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

Details\n

\n
• Float pool position covering multiple Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed
\n
• Patient population includes adult medical, surgical, and cardiac diagnoses
\n
• Telemetry monitoring performed directly on the unit
\n
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6, with the possibility of flexing to 1:7
\n
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
\n
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
\n
• Self-scheduling and blocked scheduling are permitted
\n
• Cerner EMR in use
\n
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active SC or compact RN license currently in hand
\n
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
\n
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) experience required
\n
• Primary IV skills required (respiratory therapy covers specialty IVs only)
\n
• Float pool experience preferred
\n
• PCU/Step-Down experience preferred
\n
• A valid driver's license and Social Security card are required for consideration
\n
• Two professional references required for consideration
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Provide nursing care to adult medical, surgical, and cardiac patients across MS/Tele units
\n
• Black scrubs required
\n
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
\n
• No radius restriction — local candidates are welcome to apply
\n
• Holiday RTO is generally not preferred; however, a single holiday may be considered on a case-by-case basis
