Contract Details

• Location: Chico, CA
• Role: Operates in an expanded perioperative role functioning as a first assistant to the surgeon.
• Floating Requirements: You will practice under the supervision of the surgeon in both the main Operating Room and the Labor & Delivery Suite. (Note: General facility policy requires Med/Surg and Critical Care RNs to float as needed).

Facility & Unit Overview

• Hospital Scale: A ~298-bed non-profit acute care hospital.
• Trauma Designation: Verified Level II Trauma Center (one of the only Level II centers north of Sacramento) and acts as a major regional medical hub.

Requirements & Experience

• License: Active California (CA) RN license required.
• RNFA Training: Must have the acquired knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to assist the surgeon through organized instruction and supervised practice.
• Required Certifications:
  • CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room)
  • Current CPR / Basic Life Support
  • Current ACLS

🚨 CRITICAL Facility Requirements & Timelines

• Credentialing Timeline: This position requires the candidate to be credentialed directly through the Enloe Medical Staff office. Can take up to 6 to 8-weeks of processing time before you can start.
