**Exciting Opportunity for Cat Scan Technologist!**\n\n**Job Description:**\n\n- Perform complex CT procedures and create awe-inspiring sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation.\n- Utilize professional judgment to review and obtain patient clinical history, ensuring accurate documentation in PACS.\n- Prepare, screen, and confirm the accuracy of contrast questionnaires with patients or family members, scanning them into EPIC.\n- Administer contrast media as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.\n- Verify prescription appropriateness and liaise with Radiologists and Referring Physicians for additional information when needed.\n- Clarify prescription details with physicians according to established CT protocols.\n- Verify insurance authorization for exams and coordinate modifications with Finance for insurance re-verification.\n- Obtain outside studies (CD) and schedule in EPIC, ensuring materials are available for Radiologist comparison.\n- Provide exam copies to patients and requesting physicians or family members.\n- Evaluate radiographs using PACS to confirm proper identification and diagnostic value.\n- Gather relevant information from medical records and healthcare providers to tailor scanning protocols and ensure patient safety.\n- Prepare patients for scanning through appropriate techniques, including shielding and immobilization.\n- Determine the correct type and dosage of contrast media for administration.\n- Offer clear, accurate explanations and instructions to patients, addressing their questions and concerns throughout the process.\n- Perform venipuncture, IV maintenance, and monitoring according to established guidelines.\n- Monitor patient conditions closely for adverse reactions during procedures.\n- Commit to scheduled shifts, including weekends, contributing to a cohesive and efficient team environment.\n- Lift a minimum of 25 lbs., push/pull 50 lbs., and stand for at least 6 hours a day.\n- Adapt care delivery to meet the specific needs of diverse patient populations, communicating effectively at the appropriate level.\n- Adhere to the standards and competencies defined by the Medical Center’s Organizational Competencies and Standards of Behavior.\n\n**Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** \nAt CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
