Required - 13 week assignment
\n 40hrs per week, Mon-Fri 8hr shifts, either 7-330, 8-430 or 830-5. Weekday call 5p-7a (approx. 2 shifts per month) and weekend call Friday 5pm-Mon7am (approx. 2 shifts in 13 weeks.)

Job Title: ULTRASOUND SONOGRAPHER - MCHS

Job Summary: Produces high-quality images for interpretation by physicians that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Radiology Departments. Requires competence, as determined by competency assessments, in a variety of imaging equipment and technology.

Required Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Organized, efficient, and multifunctional.
\n
• Ability to work independently.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication.
\n
• Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths, and respond to an on-call pager, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.
\n
• Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program.
\n
• Registry-eligible candidates must be ARDMS registered in either Vascular Technology (RVT) or RDMS (Abdominal or OB/GYN) within 6 months of employment (RVT preferred first) and both RVT and RDMS within 12 months of employment.
\n
• Third certification (Abdominal or OB/GYN) completed within 18 months of employment.
\n
• Employees providing breast imaging must obtain RDMS (Breast) certification within 24 months of achieved competency.
\n
• Employees hired for a role specific to vascular sonography, who are not eligible to apply for Abdomen and OB/GYN certifications, are exempt from obtaining these registries.
\n
• BLS certified.
\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Ultrasound Sonographer experience.
\n
• General ultrasound experience, OB and vascular. Breast imaging is preferred.
\n
