Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist/QA Specialist with 5+ years of mammography experience and MQSA/ACR compliance expertise for a travel assignment on Nantucket Island, MA.

Details
  • Hospital-based imaging department serving a year-round island community of 15,000+ residents with up to 100,000 additional seasonal visitors annually
  • Role is approximately 70% hands-on mammography technologist duties and 30% mammography QA/compliance responsibilities
  • Performs screening and diagnostic mammography exams as part of daily imaging operations
  • Manages and maintains the Mammography Quality Assurance Program in accordance with MQSA, ACR, and FDA compliance standards
  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • Charts using Epic
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of mammography experience required
  • ARRT(R) and ARRT(M) certifications required
  • Active Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license required; license required if applicable
  • MQSA/ACR compliance and QA experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with inspections, accreditation, and mammography quality programs preferred
  • AHA-issued BLS certification required
  • 2 professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicists, and imaging staff to ensure optimal image quality and regulatory compliance
  • Perform QA/QC testing, inspection readiness activities, accreditation support, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Shared housing is provided at no cost
  • Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
  • Local candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible but may be subject to a reduced pay rate
  • Requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
