Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Neuro position at a short-term acute care teaching hospital, requiring Epic proficiency and a willingness to float across multiple facilities.

Details
  • Short-term acute care teaching hospital setting with 536 total staff beds
  • Medical Surgical Neuro unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Every other weekend required
  • On-call required: if a shift is cancelled, candidates must remain available on call
  • Floating is expected between multiple facilities within the state, including locations in Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent
  • Charting via Epic (experience required)
  • Scrubs: any color accepted
Requirements
  • Active Oregon (OR) RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg acute care or neurovascular experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • A personal vehicle is required for this assignment
  • At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
  • Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
  • Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem), including location and dates
  • Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
  • A previous work history at a Providence facility must be disclosed at the time of consideration
