Cath Lab / IR Tech

\n Unit: Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology
\n Care Setting: Acute Care Hospital
\n Shift: Days, 10-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
\n Call: Required (Weekdays & Every Other Weekend)

\n Minimum Requirements
\n ARRT (R)
\n Fluoroscopy License
\n BLS (AHA)
\n ACLS (AHA)
\n Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience
\n Scrub experience required
\n Experience
\n Cath Lab experience required
\n IR experience preferred
\n Prior travel experience preferred
\n Experience in both diagnostic and interventional procedures
\n Required Skills
\n Scrubbing Cath Lab procedures
\n Left & Right Heart Catheterizations
\n Diagnostic and Interventional Caths
\n EP Studies
\n Pacemaker Insertions
\n Defibrillator Procedures
\n Hemodynamic monitoring
\n Contrast administration
\n Sterile technique and radiation safety
\n IR Experience Preferred
\n PICC Line Placement
\n Central Line Placement
\n Swan-Ganz Catheters
\n Pleurovac Procedures
\n General Interventional Radiology procedures
\n Equipment & Systems
\n Cerner
\n Meditech
\n GE MacLab
\n Call Requirements
\n Evening call 1–2 times per week
\n Call begins after scheduled shift
\n 30-minute response time
\n Every other weekend call
\n Weekend call is 24-hour coverage (6:30 AM – 6:30 AM)
\n Unit Details
\n 3 Cath/IR Suites
\n Average 8–10 cases per day
\n No floating required
\n One shift of department orientation
\n Holiday rotation: One major and one minor holiday
