Contract | Days (4x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00–19:00) | 13 or 26-Week Contract Options | 36 or 48-Hour Weekly Options Available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide intermediate-level critical care to patients requiring a level of care between intensive care and progressive care units in a 12-bed Stepdown Critical Care unit
• Collaborate with Critical Care Intensivists and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, high-quality care to complex patients including traumas, surgical, transplant, lung disorder, and ventilated patients
• Manage and monitor IV drips as required across all assigned floors
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using EPIC electronic health records
• Float within scope of practice to various units and campuses as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• Work a rotating weekend schedule including 4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nebraska license required; pending license accepted if not yet in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records charting
• Ability and willingness to float frequently to various units to meet facility staffing needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN or NIH Stroke Scale certification strongly preferred
• Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center (required for first-time travelers to be considered)
• Familiarity with care team models including CNAs, care techs, transport teams, and paramedics/swoop teams
