Unarmed Security Officer

Overview

Enterprise Security Services Corporation is hiring Unarmed Security Officers to support busy retail, hospitality, and commercial sites across the Virginia Beach area. As a women-owned, minority-owned company with more than three decades of experience, we bring professional, customer-focused security to high-traffic environments.

Where you'll work

This position covers client locations in and around Virginia Beach, including stores, shopping centers, hotels, and similar venues. Worksites are assigned based on coverage needs and may change between assignments, so we look for officers who can reliably work at sites throughout the area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a professional, welcoming presence while keeping the site safe
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for security and safety concerns
• Assist guests, shoppers, and staff with a strong customer-service approach
• Deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access through active patrol
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies calmly and professionally
• Observe surveillance systems and report unusual activity
• Complete accurate incident reports and shift logs

Requirements

• Possess or be able to obtain a Virginia DCJS unarmed security officer registration
• Meet Virginia's minimum age and eligibility requirements for security registration
• Pass a criminal background check
• Reliable transportation to assigned sites across the Virginia Beach area
• Excellent communication and a calm, professional manner with the public
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
• Experience in security, hospitality, or customer service is a plus

Uniform & equipment

Ability to obtain a Class A black uniform; communication equipment may be provided.

Schedule

Shifts may include days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
