Job Description

Part-Time Substitute Chef:

Spruce Mountain Inn, a residential facility committed to providing a supportive environment for our residents, is seeking a Part-Time/ Substitute Chef to join our dedicated team.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve dinner for staff and residents, with a focus on variety, nutrition, and accommodating dietary needs.
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen throughout the shift.
Complete end-of-day cleaning and closing procedures.
Communicate with Chef regarding kitchen needs, inventory, and feedback.
Work with Chef to develop menus for the week.
Work collaboratively with staff and residents to ensure a comfortable and safe environment.
Help lead guided cooking classes with residents to develop their kitchen skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous commercial kitchen or food service experience.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
Compassionate, dependable, and a team player.
ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain).
Knowledge of nutrition and dietary needs, including allergies and special diets.
