Delta Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. In this role, you will perform mammography procedures and operate radiologic equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing disease while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mammography procedures as ordered by physicians and radiologists.
  • Prepare and position patients and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
  • Operate imaging equipment and adjust exposure factors to produce accurate diagnostic images.
  • Follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
  • Ensure prior exams are available by scanning and digitizing previous images and reports.
  • Educate patients on breast self-examination and answer questions.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with scheduling and administrative tasks.
  • Maintain knowledge of MQSA standards, mammography techniques, and stereotactic procedures.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, well-stocked imaging area and ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and DNV regulations.
  • Cross-train within the department and perform DEXA scans as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • ARRT certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Mammography certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire
  • Experience with RIS/PACS systems and Meditech preferred
  • Two years of hospital mammography experience preferred

This position reports to the Radiology Director and Radiologist and works closely with imaging staff, physicians, nursing personnel, and patients.
