Bilingual Customer Service Representative

LOCATIONDallas, TX 75231 | Onsite

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $17.82/hour
• Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM (1-hour lunch)

ROLE IMPACT
Support the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program by providing outstanding customer service and administrative support to families in the community. This role helps ensure eligible participants receive timely services, accurate program documentation, and referrals to appropriate health and social service resources while maintaining compliance with WIC program standards.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Interview applicants to determine WIC eligibility by verifying income, residency, identification, and immunization records while accurately completing required documentation.
• Issue WIC Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) benefits, perform data entry in Texas WIN, maintain inventories, and prepare program reports.
• Collect participant health information, obtain finger-stick blood samples, measure heights and weights for adults, children, and infants, and accurately enter information into program systems.
• Welcome participants, schedule appointments, answer phones, maintain participant records, and provide courteous, professional customer service.
• Refer participants to appropriate health and community resources and perform additional administrative duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of experience in healthcare, education, community services, or social services.
• Bilingual fluency in French, Swahili, or Tigrinya is REQUIRED

• XP software
• Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) system
• Microsoft Office and standard computer applications


PREFERRED SKILLS
• Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with diverse populations and maintain accurate records.
• Valid Texas Driver's License and ability to complete required WIC nutrition modules during the probationary period.
