Shift: Off-Shift (2nd or 3rd Shift)

• 2nd Shift: Tuesday – Friday, 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• 4x10 schedule

Job Overview

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a global biopharmaceutical company focused on the research, development, and manufacturing of prescription medicines, is seeking a Scientist – Chemistry to join the team in Vernon, IN.

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to support quality control laboratory operations in a GMP-regulated environment. This role is responsible for performing chemical and analytical testing, supporting investigations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in and may lead QC team discussions
• Maintain adequate inventory of reagents, glassware, and laboratory supplies
• Maintain accurate, complete, and compliant laboratory notebooks and records in accordance with GMP and regulatory requirements
• Support laboratory investigations for known errors and Out of Specification (OOS) results using electronic deviation systems and QC procedures
• Participate in investigations related to PET process areas and QC data
• Troubleshoot laboratory methods, processes, and testing issues
• Execute testing in compliance with GMPs, SOPs, site, and corporate policies
• Immediately report deviations that may impact product quality
• Perform testing on raw materials, components, finished products, stability samples, water, and environmental samples
• Perform sampling activities, including swabs and other facility sampling as needed
• Dispose of flammable materials in designated 90-day accumulation containers
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory testing equipment
• Contribute ideas for continuous improvement in lab processes
• Support and complete assigned project work
• May serve as a subject matter expert for specific lab equipment, systems, or processes

Qualifications

• Experience in a laboratory or QC environment preferred
• Strong understanding of GMP and regulatory compliance standards
• Ability to troubleshoot laboratory methods and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Ability to work off-shift schedule (2nd or 3rd shift required)
