David's Crab Rincon is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about preparing high-quality seafood and other menu items while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen. The Cook will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure every guest receives fresh, delicious meals prepared to our standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook seafood, fried foods, sides, and other menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and storage practices.
• Prep ingredients before each shift, including cutting vegetables, preparing sauces, and portioning food.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, steamers, and other cooking equipment safely.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries using FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices.
• Minimize food waste and report low inventory items to management.
• Work efficiently during busy meal periods while maintaining food quality.
• Follow all health department regulations and company policies.
• Assist with kitchen cleaning duties at the end of each shift.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
• Experience preparing seafood is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and food quality.
• Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Food Handler Certification is preferred or must be obtained after hire.
