Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical to support our procurement team in a manufacturing environment. This role will focus on data analysis, supplier management, process improvements, and purchasing support. The ideal candidate will have strong Microsoft Excel skills, experience working in manufacturing, and the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Savings & Efficiency Projects (35%)

  • Collect, analyze, and maintain procurement and spending data to support purchasing decisions.
  • Develop and track key metrics and spending categories.
  • Communicate with suppliers, buyers, and internal departments to support procurement initiatives.
  • Create and update process documentation to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Supplier & Product Management (35%)

  • Assist with new product setup and ensure data accuracy.
  • Review product records and correct data discrepancies.
  • Support supplier onboarding and assessment activities.
  • Maintain supplier and product information within company systems.
  • Ensure duplicate records are identified and eliminated.

Purchasing Support & Reporting (30%)

  • Assist buyers with purchase orders and procurement activities.
  • Review detailed reports and analyze procurement trends.
  • Monitor inventory levels and adjust safety stock based on usage and lead times.
  • Support supplier negotiations and purchasing projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Four (4) years of experience in procurement, purchasing, finance, supply chain, or a related field may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum four (4) years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and data management.
  • Experience with Excel data analysis and reporting.
  • Manufacturing industry experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
