Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Location

Kearney, NE

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (0600–1830) and Nights (1800–0630) available | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 23-bed Medical Surgical unit with a maximum nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 (1:5 on day shift Monday–Friday)
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in alignment with unit protocols
• Float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for Medical Surgical assignments as needed; telemetry-trained nurses may float to telemetry assignments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Adhere to holiday scheduling requirements, with no more than one holiday off requested per contract period

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Ability to work every other weekend as required
• Willingness to float to PCU for Medical Surgical assignments

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Telemetry training or experience, which may expand floating opportunities
