Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a difference as a Special Education Teacher working with preschoolers in an onsite role near Denver, Colorado! This full-time, contract opportunity offers a rewarding experience supporting early learners at a single campus for the 2026-2027 school year. You'll be an integral part of a dedicated team, assessing, teaching, and guiding students with disabilities within both in-class and pull-out settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- Hold (or be eligible for) one of the following Colorado Department of Education certifications:
- Early Childhood Special Ed (ages birth – 8) Grades P3-2 only
- Early Childhood Special Ed Specialist (ages birth – 8) Grades P3-2 only
- Early Childhood Special Ed (ages birth – 5) Grade P3-K only
- Early Childhood Special Ed (ages 3 – 8) Grades P3-2 only
- Experience with preschool-aged students (ECSE) strongly preferred
- Strong skills in administering standardized assessments related to eligibility and general education programming
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with team members
Responsibilities:
- Manage a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, Monday through Friday
- Support a maximum caseload of 15 preschoolers, providing individualized education services
- Assess students’ needs and implement IEP goals using a variety of instructional strategies
- Collaborate with colleagues on Fridays for planning and team meetings
- Engage in both in-class support and pull-out instruction based on student requirements
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with all special education regulations
- Participate in virtual interviews as requested
