The position runs from August 3, 2026, through June 7, 2027. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, with early dismissal on Wednesdays, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. The assignment involves teaching a 5th/6th grade combination class, with a generous 6.5 hours per week allotted for instructional planning.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California teaching credentials in Special Education
- BILA (formerly BCLAD) authorization preferred as part of your credential
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required
- Prior experience supporting GenEd environments and differentiated instruction
- Strong skills in classroom management and collaboration
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging and effective instruction to 5th and 6th grade students in a special education setting
- Adapt and modify curriculum to meet individualized learning needs
- Communicate regularly with families, colleagues, and support staff
- Maintain accurate records and develop IEP goals in compliance with state guidelines
