Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a real difference in the lives of children as a dedicated Early Childhood Special Education Teacher working with preschoolers in a supportive, collaborative environment. Located in the Denver area, this full-time, onsite contract opportunity begins July 31, 2026, and runs through May 26, 2027. You’ll be assigned to a single school and will work with a maximum caseload of 15 children, helping provide individualized instruction and interventions designed to meet each student’s unique learning needs. The school week is structured Monday through Thursday with Fridays set aside for planning and team collaboration.
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Colorado Department of Education certification in one of the following:
- Early Childhood Special Education (birth through age 8, grades P3-2)
- Early Childhood Special Ed Specialist (birth through age 8, grades P3-2)
- Early Childhood Special Education (birth through age 5, grade P3-K)
- Early Childhood Special Ed (ages 3 through 8, grades P3-2)
- Experience working with preschool-aged children with special needs preferred
- Knowledge of standardized and general education assessments in literacy and math
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues and families
- Background check required upon offer acceptance
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, teach, and provide targeted support for children with disabilities using both in-class and pull-out models
- Develop and modify educational programing based on assessment data
- Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with instructional team and participate in planning every Friday
