Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic school environment near Englewood, CO. This full-time, onsite contract position spans the 2026-2027 academic year, providing the chance to make a lasting impact working with grades K-5. As the case manager for approximately 10 students, you’ll lead instruction specializing in either Math or Literacy and provide teaching support for up to 20 learners.

You’ll collaborate with an experienced team of 3–4 paraprofessionals daily, guiding classroom teams and fostering an inclusive, supportive environment. This role is ideal for a compassionate, organized educator eager to develop individualized education plans and work closely with school staff and families.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid high school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in education or related field strongly preferred
  • Special Education Teacher certification/license in Colorado
  • Strong knowledge of K–5 learning standards and best practices in differentiated instruction
  • Previous experience in a special education setting with young learners
  • Superb communication and leadership skills, especially in managing classroom teams
  • Ability to oversee case management for a small group of students
  • Comfortable leading instruction in either Mathematics or Literacy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Provide direct instruction and support to K–5 students in a self-contained setting
  • Lead and mentor a team of 3–4 paraprofessionals
  • Maintain compliance with district and state special education policies
  • Foster partnerships with families and participate in team meetings
  • Fulfill all credentialing and background check requirements upon offer acceptance
