Job Title: Millwright

Job Description

This role focuses on installing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment using blueprints, schematics, and a wide range of mechanical and welding tools. You will ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently by diagnosing issues, fabricating or repairing parts, and supporting production operations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Install and assemble industrial equipment by interpreting and following blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs using MIG and stick welding, cutting tools, and hand and power tools.
  • Operate machining equipment such as lathes and grinders to fabricate, modify, or repair parts and components.
  • Replace worn or damaged components and align machinery using hoists, precision tools, and measurement instruments.
  • Support production operations by safely operating equipment when required to maintain workflow and minimize downtime.
  • Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are stored and used properly.
  • Lift and move materials and equipment weighing upwards of 50 pounds as needed during installation, repair, and maintenance tasks.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of maintenance or mechanical experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of welding experience with MIG and stick processes.
  • Hydraulic system experience with at least 3 years of hands-on work.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency using cutting and welding equipment safely and effectively.
  • Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for mechanical repair and fabrication.
  • Experience with mill machining operations, including the use of lathes and grinders.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, including pneumatics and basic electrical components.
  • Ability to lift upwards of 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks safely.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a maintenance or mechanical role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in fabricating work, including fitting, cutting, and assembling metal components.
  • Familiarity with aligning and balancing rotating equipment using precision tools.
  • Comfort working with pneumatic systems and basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
