Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
The Machine Operator plays a crucial role in the production of commercial refrigeration and cooling systems by operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment. This position ensures the efficient operation of machines, maintains product quality standards, and meets production schedules in a safe manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery and equipment according to established work instructions.
- Load raw materials and components into machines.
- Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments as needed.
- Perform quality inspections using measuring tools and visual inspection methods.
- Read and follow production schedules, work orders, and specifications.
- Report machine malfunctions, material defects, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Keep work areas clean and organized while following all safety procedures.
- Work closely and cross train with assemblers, welders, and fabrication teams to meet production goals.
Essential Skills
- Assembly and machine operation experience.
- Blueprint reading and measuring tools proficiency.
- Mechanical assembly using hand and power tools.
- On-the-job machine operating experience of around 6 months.
- Knowledge of CNC, schematic, electronic assembly, tape measure, welding, forklift, and crane operating.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience operating fabrication or metalworking equipment.
- Blueprint reading and measurement experience.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Crane experience.
- Welding skills.

Work Environment
The position involves working the 2nd shift from 2:15pm to 12:45am, Monday through Thursday, with the possibility of working Fridays depending on workflow. The manufacturing floor can be hot in summer and cold in winter, but fans and drinks are available. The industrial facility produces refrigeration and cooling equipment in a fast-paced environment, requiring the use of PPE such as steel-toed boots, ear plugs, and safety glasses.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.25 - $23.25/hr.
