Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic General Production Worker to take a lead position on our 3rd shift team. This role requires an individual who can effectively problem solve and hold the team accountable to meet daily expectations without needing to reach out to the operations manager.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery used to process, grind, dry, and package corncob materials.
- Handle raw corncob inputs stored indoors for cleanliness and moisture control.
- Follow established procedures to produce consistent, high-quality outputs for multiple industries.
- Conduct routine inspections of materials to ensure they are free from contaminants, mold, or moisture.
- Assist in rigorous testing and quality-assurance processes.
- Document quality checks and report variations or equipment issues.
- Set up, operate, and clean production equipment safely.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and alert supervisors to mechanical problems.
- Adhere to all workplace safety regulations, PPE usage, and material-handling standards.
- Maintain a clean and orderly production environment.
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Support loading for in-house trucking when needed to meet delivery timelines.

Work Environment
This position is on the 3rd shift, with hours from 11pm to 7am. Training takes place on the 1st shift from 7am to 3pm. Employees have the choice to work 40-60 hours, with weekends available for extra hours. The dress code is industrial and hands-on, and the team size is approximately 7. The environment is industrial, involving physical labor, machinery operation, and logistics in a small team setting at our Rock Falls location, fostering close working relationships.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Falls, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
