Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experiencedNurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a growing outpatientGastroenterology practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado. No prior Gastroenterologyexperience is required—providers with a strong primary care or internalmedicine background are encouraged to apply

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Lunch: 1-hour daily
• Patient Population: Adults (18+)
• Patient Volume: Approximately 12–16 patients per day
• Hospital Rounding: Rotation every 6 weeks

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions.
• Perform new patient consultations, follow-up visits, and treatment planning.
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing and laboratory studies.
• Educate patients on disease management, medications, and preventive care.
• Participate in a rotating inpatient rounding schedule every six weeks.
• Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists and the clinical support team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

Compensation & Benefits

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Board Certified as an NP or PA
• Eligible for or active Colorado license
• Gastroenterology or adult internal medicine experience preferred
• Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
