Job Description

This role involves working on a fast-paced production line to load, unload, assemble, and inspect parts while maintaining quality and efficiency. You will handle materials, perform basic inventory tasks, and prepare finished products for shipment, contributing directly to a high-volume manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload parts from the production line while maintaining a steady workflow.
  • Inspect parts for defects and ensure each item meets quality specifications.
  • Assemble parts according to detailed specifications using hand tools while keeping up with the speed of the moving production line.
  • Perform inventory audits and reconcile daily electronic transactions using provided systems and tools.
  • Identify defective parts, clearly mark them for rework, and place them in designated rework areas.
  • Place all finished parts into appropriate shipping racks for delivery to customers.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as sit-down forklifts, to move materials and finished goods as needed.
  • Use RF scanners to track materials, inventory, and completed products accurately.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Work overtime as needed to support production demands and meet customer deadlines.

  • Experience working on an assembly line or in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively for basic assembly tasks.
  • Ability to use RF scanners for tracking inventory and materials.
  • Ability to operate a sit-down forklift or willingness to learn with appropriate training.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during the shift.
  • Ability to work overtime when required to meet production needs.
  • Strong attention to detail to identify defective parts and maintain quality standards.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a large team in a high-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in shipping and receiving or logistics is a plus.
  • Prior experience using electronic inventory systems is beneficial.
  • Comfort working in a large facility with many employees and multiple shifts.
  • Strong reliability and punctuality, with the ability to maintain consistent attendance.
  • Willingness to work any of the available shifts, including 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, as needed.
Why Work Here?

You will join a large, established organization that offers significant opportunities for growth and advancement. Once hired on permanently, you can access strong benefits and long-term stability. The company actively invests in creating a positive, family-like atmosphere by organizing employee events such as cookouts and holiday celebrations, fostering a sense of community and appreciation for the workforce.

Work Environment

You will work in a large, high-paced production facility with approximately 1,500 employees on site. The environment is busy and collaborative, with many team members working together across multiple shifts to meet production goals. The facility is moderately climate controlled, so conditions are more comfortable than outdoor temperatures but may still vary with the seasons. Shifts include 1st shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.), 2nd shift (typically 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.), and 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.), with the 3rd shift schedule running Sunday through Thursday nights.
