Senior Paralegal / Junior Attorney


About the Opportunity

An exploration-stage company focused on developing critical mineral projects is seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal or Junior Attorney to support land acquisition, legal operations, and contract management for mineral exploration activities in central Georgia. This is a high-impact, onsite position based near Manchester, Georgia, working closely with leadership and the exploration team.


Willingness to travel regularly to project sites and county courthouses within approximately a 50-mile radius of Manchester, Georgia.


The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, highly organized, and experienced in land negotiations, title research, contract administration, and Georgia property law.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead negotiations for mineral leases, purchase options, easements, surface use agreements, and other land-related transactions with private and corporate landowners.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal and operational agreements, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and independent contractor agreements.
  • Manage legal aspects of contractor relationships, ensuring compliance with company policies, insurance requirements, and safety standards.
  • Conduct title research at county courthouses to verify ownership, mineral rights, and existing encumbrances.
  • Prepare and review legal documents such as deeds, easements, memoranda of lease, and other real estate-related agreements.
  • Maintain accurate land records and collaborate with internal teams to manage land and legal databases.
  • Track project milestones, legal deliverables, and land acquisition progress while providing regular updates to executive leadership.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with Georgia laws, regulations, and company standards.


Qualifications

  • Senior Paralegal: 5–10 years of relevant experience, or
  • Junior Attorney: 1–5 years of legal practice experience.
  • Experience in mining, natural resources, aggregates, oil & gas, real estate, or land acquisition is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Georgia land law, property rights, title review, deeds, leases, easements, and title curative processes.
  • Proven experience negotiating land agreements and building productive relationships with landowners and vendors.
  • Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) preferred but not required, depending on experience.
