About the Role
We're looking for a Behavior Manager who is passionate about improving the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through positive behavior supports, compassionate leadership, and person-centered care.
In this role, you'll provide behavioral oversight and support across residential and day services, partnering with individuals, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to develop effective behavior support strategies that promote independence, dignity, and quality of life.

What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs)
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and make recommendations based on individual needs
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, and support to Direct Support Professionals, residential staff, and caregivers
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, guardians, case managers, and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
- Monitor behavioral data, identify trends, and adjust support strategies as needed
- Conduct observations in residential, day program, and community settings
- Ensure behavior supports align with state regulations, agency policies, and person-centered practices
- Assist with crisis prevention planning and provide guidance during behavioral emergencies
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and case notes in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Participate in Individualized Service Plan (ISP) meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings
- Support staff development through ongoing education and best practice training
- Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and positive behavior support throughout the organization
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs
- Experience developing behavior support plans and implementing positive behavior interventions
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Ability to analyze behavioral data and make informed recommendations
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel between program locations as needed
- Experience with trauma-informed care and person-centered planning preferred
