Join our team at Pet Supplies Plus in Lafayette, IN, as a Retail Associate where your passion for pets will shine! You'll play a vital role in providing exceptional neighbor service and ensuring our furry friends have everything they need.
Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable neighbor service to pet owners.
- Assist neighbors in selecting products for their pets' needs.
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Restock shelves and manage inventory to keep products readily available.
- Process transactions accurately at the cash register.
- Educate neighbors on pet care and product benefits.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills.
- Support special promotions and events to engage the community.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for animals.
- Ability to lift and manipulate up to 50 pounds and stand and walk for extended periods.
- Flexible availability, including nights and weekends.
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Willingness to learn about pet products and care.
