Extrusion Operator Assistant - 2nd/3rd Shift

Employment Solutions is hiring for our client's manufacturing company for Extrusion Operator Assistant positions!

Available Shifts & Pay:

• 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM | $20.56/hour

• 3rd Shift: Monday-Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM | $20.56/hour

Position Summary:

The Extrusion Operator Assistant supports the extrusion production process by assisting with equipment setup, material handling, product testing, and general production operations.

Responsibilities:

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your team
• Set up downstream production equipment
• Handle raw materials and finished products
• Perform product testing and quality checks
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks as needed
• Support Extruder Technicians with daily production activities
• Learn extrusion operations to provide backup support when necessary
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles
• Operate forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles
• Complete additional duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations and production environments
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to cross-train in multiple departments
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to perform repetitive motions
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working around machinery, dust, chemicals, and varying environmental conditions
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
