Folding Carton Gluing Technician -- Bobst Specialist

Step into a day on our Finishing floor

Your shift begins with a job ticket in hand and a clear plan. You set the feeder, dial in the glue system, position plow/fold plates, align compression sections, stage the pack station, and bring quality inspection systems online. You fine-tune folding sequences, glue patterns, paperboard caliper, and scoring alignment to hit exacting specs. As cartons flow, you monitor automated and computer-controlled inspection systems, make on-the-fly adjustments to protect accuracy and product integrity, and keep a sharp eye on throughput and safety.

Between runs, you perform routine preventive maintenance, handle minor repairs, verify schedules, reconcile inventory counts, and leave the area clean, organized, and ready for the next job. Your impact in the role

• Independently set up, adjust, and operate folding gluer equipment to meet production specifications
• Configure feeder, glue system, plow/fold plates, compression sections, pack station, and inspection systems
• Ensure correct folding sequences, precise glue application, proper paperboard thickness, and accurate score alignment
• Run automated/computer-controlled inspection for quality assurance and make real-time adjustments
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and minor equipment repairs
• Interpret job tickets, verify schedules, and maintain accurate inventory counts
• Complete post-production cleanup and uphold safety guidelines

About you

• Experience as a Folding Gluer Operator in printing, packaging, or folding carton production (preferred)
• Hands-on experience with Bobst or comparable folding gluer machinery (highly preferred)
• Mechanical aptitude with skill in troubleshooting mechanical and quality issues
• Knowledge of glue systems, scoring, folding sequences, and carton construction
• Ability to read job tickets and production layouts; proficient with calipers, rulers, and gauges
• Solid math skills for measurements and conversions
• Strong attention to detail; dependable team communicator
• Thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
• High school diploma or equivalent
