Position Overview

This long-term assignment provides comprehensive eye care services within a federal healthcare environment serving an underserved patient population.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations for pediatric and adult patients

• Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and vision disorders

• Prescribe corrective lenses and treatment plans

• Educate patients on eye health and preventative care

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with IHS standards

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Optometry license (any U.S. state)

• Board certified or board eligible

• Prior IHS, Tribal Health, rural, or federal experience preferred

• Ability to commit to a minimum 6-month assignment

• Ability to obtain federal credentialing and security clearance
