Job Title: Forklift Operator
Job Description
The Forklift Operator plays a key role in supporting warehouse and production operations by safely moving materials, organizing storage areas, and assisting with inventory activities. This position focuses on optimizing space utilization and workflow, following strict safety procedures, and collaborating with team members to meet production goals and customer deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and related material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse or production area.
- Organize the warehouse or production area to optimize space utilization, ensure clear aisles, and maintain efficient workflow.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries, including proper use of equipment and adherence to facility guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of materials and finished goods.
- Support production and packaging activities as needed, including staging materials and moving products to appropriate locations.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to meet production goals and customer deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, promptly addressing any hazards or obstructions.
- Handle materials carefully to prevent damage to products, equipment, and facility property.
Essential Skills
- Experience in production environments, including familiarity with basic production processes.
- Hands-on experience with packaging activities, such as preparing, packing, and moving finished goods.
- Background in assembly work, supporting the flow of materials and components through the production process.
- Proven material handling skills, including safe operation of forklifts and movement of goods in a warehouse or production setting.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs frequently.

- Attention to detail and accuracy when organizing materials and performing inventory counts.
- Strong sense of safety and responsibility when operating material handling equipment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
