We're seeking a Manual Machinist for a premier Industrial equipment and machinery manufacturing company in the Swedesboro NJ area.

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to perform layouts, set up, and operate conventional machine tools. This role requires expertise in reading and interpreting all drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. You will be responsible for designing setup methods where none exist and instructing other shop personnel on proper machining techniques. We value continual improvement and expect you to deliver higher quality with improved costs.
Shift/Pay: 5 Days a week
6:00AM - 4:00PM@ Monday-Friday Must be comfortable with weekly OT & Saturdays as Needed
Salary 70,000-85,000K based on experience

Responsibilities
- Perform layouts and set up conventional machine tools.
- Read and interpret all drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Design setup methods where none exist.
- Instruct other shop personnel on proper machining techniques.
- Continually improve methods to deliver higher quality with improved costs.
Skills
- Experience with Manual Mill and Lathe.
- Ability to operate a Horizontal Boring Mill.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and manual machining.
- Competency in using calipers, micrometers, and grinders.
- Completion of a machinist apprentice program or equivalent training.
- Ability to hold close tolerances and conduct component inspections.
- Ability to set up machine tools, including ID/OD Grinders, Engine Lathe, Horizontal and Vertical Boring Mills, Radial Drill, and Planer Mill.
- Four years of experience in machine shop operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prefer ability to run a Planer Mill.
- Willingness to work in a team environment.
- Openness to working overtime as required.
