- Own infotainment features from concept through launch, ensuring alignment with product goals and user experience requirements.
- Create technical concepts, define and manage detailed technical requirements, and develop functional and non-functional specifications for infotainment and HMI functions.
- Manage scope definition and scope changes, including handling bug fixes, feature enhancements, and change requests throughout the product lifecycle.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including specifications, technical reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate and support audio tuning activities, working with different cabin configurations, speakers, and microphones to optimize audio performance.
- Support and coordinate certification activities for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite radio (SXM), HD Radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and country-specific certifications to ensure product compliance.
- Ensure proper implementation and validation/verification of deliverables in collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers.
- Analyze defects identified on test benches and in vehicles, determine root causes, and drive resolutions in coordination with engineering and supplier teams.

- Coordinate global stakeholders, including requesters, internal engineering teams, suppliers, and project teams, to drive issue resolution and project execution.
- Oversee project responsibilities such as communication, milestone planning, and risk management, proactively identifying and mitigating project risks.
- Support testing and validation activities, ensuring that infotainment features undergo appropriate verification in vehicle and bench test environments.
- Provide executive-level updates through reports and presentations, clearly communicating project status, risks, and outcomes.
- Work independently to manage suppliers, drive projects with minimal direction, and deliver against agreed timelines.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across different regions and cultural backgrounds, fostering effective communication and team coordination.
Essential Skills
- Master’s degree in a related field such as Automotive Engineering or a closely aligned discipline.
- Approximately 5 years of experience in product development in a related automotive or electronic systems field.
- More than 2 years of experience as a function owner for infotainment systems, owning features from concept through launch.
- Hands-on experience in the development of automotive ECUs, including both software and hardware, with knowledge of CAN, AUTOSAR, and Ethernet.
- Experience developing HMI and infotainment functions such as FM/AM radio, satellite radio (SXM), weather services (WX), HD Radio, DAB, multimedia systems, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, phone connectivity, and related peripherals like antennas, speakers, and microphones.
- Experience planning and executing certification activities for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SXM, HD Radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and country-specific compliance requirements.
- Experience tuning audio parameters of infotainment platforms, taking into account different cabin configurations and collaborating with external audio partners.
- Experience analyzing defects in test benches and vehicles and deriving effective technical resolutions.
- Experience in technical project management, including coordination of cross-functional project partners and suppliers.
