Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The role of a Maintenance Technician involves working in a wire manufacturing environment, primarily with wire-draw machines equipped with numerous motors and drives. You will handle 3-phase 480v motors and various types of drives including AC, DC, and VFD. Starting your shift with a pass-down meeting, you will prioritize mission-critical issues to swiftly resume production. Expect to replace motors and programming cards, troubleshoot electrical faults, and perform mechanical repairs such as changing pumps and gearboxes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting to identify faults and issues in equipment.
- Replace motors and programming cards as part of regular maintenance tasks.
- Perform mechanical repairs, including changing pumps and gearboxes.
- Participate in pass-down meetings at the start of each shift to determine priority issues.
- Collaborate with a team to ensure production is up and running efficiently.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
- Experience with 3-phase 480v motors.
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills with pumps.
- Experience in changing gearboxes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in wire manufacturing.
- Flexibility to work varying hours and weekends.
