Job Description
As a GSE Technician, you will play a crucial role in creating custom parts and components, working with a variety of materials, tools, and technologies. Your responsibilities will include overseeing and executing fabrication tasks, supporting vehicle build, integration, and GSE repair and fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute fabrication tasks such as cutting, welding, machining, painting, and assembling materials and components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate production.
- Operate and maintain fabrication machinery and equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Perform custom fabrication work tailored to specific requirements and customer needs.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other technicians to optimize fabrication processes and solve technical issues.
- Support the repair and fabrication of Ground Support Equipment (GSE), ensuring functionality and reliability.
- Assist with mechanical assembly, vehicle integration, and composites when needed.
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Experience in using hand tools and operating fabrication and building equipment.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and performing metal and material cutting.
- Expertise in welding and fitting.
- Capability in scaffolding.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in operating fabricating tools and machinery, including CNC machines, welding equipment, saws, manual mills, lathes, and various shop tools.

Work Environment
The role is based on the manufacturing floor, supporting the operations of the facility. As the work involves building prototypes, the environment is fast-paced and subject to change, requiring flexibility and initiative. The standard work hours are Monday through Friday, from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break. Being proactive and adaptable is essential in this role.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middle River, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr.
