American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP) position in Richmond, KY, requiring an active KY or compact RN license and certifications including NRP and AWHONN FHM.

  • Obstetrics unit in a hospital setting, covering Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) care
  • \n
  • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
  • \n
  • 13-week contract
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state
  • \n
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and STABLE
  • \n
  • Minimum education: ADN or ASN (BSN preferred)
  • \n
  • Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures
  • \n
  • Candidate must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Provides comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to obstetric patients across the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum continuum
  • \n
  • Performs and documents thorough patient assessments, considering cultural, age, and developmental factors
  • \n
  • Coordinates admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including patient and family education
  • \n
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • \n
  • Participates in unit-based quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation auditing
  • \n
  • Previous nursing experience is preferred but no minimum experience is required — first-time travelers are welcome to apply
