Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Level 2 Trauma Center in Joplin, MO, requiring 2+ years of OR experience and an active MO or compact RN license.

Details

• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (0630–1900)
• OR Complex unit with 11 operating rooms
• Surgical patient population in an intraoperative setting
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Stryker equipment used throughout the unit
• Epic EMR in use
• Weekend hours as required by the facility
• On-call requirements as required by the facility
• Floating as required by the facility

Requirements

• Active RN license in Missouri or currently eligible for MO licensure (MO or compact license required)
• Current BLS certification from the AHA required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90 or more days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process to deliver patient care, maintaining professional accountability, coordinating care across departments, and upholding patient rights and confidentiality
• The facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center, Level 2 Stroke Center, and Level 2 STEMI Center
• Ceil blue scrubs are provided by the facility
• Flu vaccination is required for all travelers working between November 1 and April 1; exemptions must be client-approved
• Up to 5 days of RTO is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be subject to a reduced bill rate
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment unless documented renewal is already scheduled
