Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Manager for a travel nursing job in Girard, Pennsylvania.

\nMust use COTA and facility timeclock.
\nIf their badge is lost, clinician will have to pay $10 to get it replaced.
\nUnit/Department: RN Supervisor.
\n- Type of Facility: LTC/SNF.
\n- # of Beds/Residents: 300 total beds divided into 6 total units.
\nA - 47 beds.
\nC - 50 beds (Covid unit, currently closed unit).
\nG - 59 needs.
\nH - 40 bed secure dementia unit.
\nJ - 59 beds.
\nK - 45 beds.
\n- EMR: PCC.
\n- Ratios: RN Supervisor is out of staffing grid so not assigned to resident cares/tasks, RN Ratios will vary per unit (see unit size above).
\nMajority of floor nurses are LPN's.
\nDays:
\n3 Nurse Managers assigned to 2 units Monday through Friday.
\nWeekends there will be 1 Nurse Manager assigned to oversee all units.
\nIn addition to Nurse Manger there will be 2 additional nurses on each unit (1 Charge nurse and 1 Med/Treatment nurse).
\nIf staffing allows there may be a 3rd nurse on each unit (1 Charge Nurse, 1 Med Nurse & 1 Treatment Nurse).
\nNurses will consist of both RN's and LPN's.
\nEvenings:
\n1 RN Supervisor and Floor nurses (LPN or RN).
\nIn addition to RN Supervisor there will be 2 additional nurses on each unit (1 Charge nurse and 1 Med/Treatment nurse).
\nNurses will consist of both RN's and LPN's.
\nNights:
\n1 RN Supervisor as staffing allows and 1 floor nurse (RN or LPN) per unit.
\nAt this time using 5/6 units so if 6 nurses assigned 1 floor nurse will split between the two largest units (J & K).
\n- Required Certifications: BLS.
\n- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Accept LTC, skilled, rehab and dementia residents 18+ years or older.
\nHospice Care accepted in house - have 2 dedicated hospice rooms.
\n- Job Duties: Responsible to run the building on evenings, nights and weekends.
\nRN.
\nWill serve as a building supervisor overseeing floor RN's, LPN's and CNA's.
\nRN is out of staffing grid so not assigned to resident cares/tasks.
\nServes as a resource for others throughout the shift, responsible to monitor change of condition, residents issues, schedule outside services (such as lab, portable x-ray, etc.), contact MD/NP for resident needs/issues.
\nRN's ONLY to perform central line cares, chest tube care/management, IV starts, admission orders, fall assessments.
\n- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Prior PCC experience.
\nExperience measuring wounds (measuring only, nurses will not stage wound - NP will assess/stage wounds weekly).
\n- Are there IV's or titratable drips?: Lasix, bumex and antibiotic.
\n- Area there Tele monitors? If so do you have monitor techs on this unit? Do RN's read strips?: No.
\n- Are RN's required to attend team conferences for acute inpatient rehab?: May participate in care plan meetings (most common for Short Term Stay residents).
\n- DON/Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: DON & RN Supervisors.
\n- Physician availability after hours: House MD and NP available by phone.
\nRequest to contact will go through DON, manager or RN supervisor when contacting outside of regular business hours.
\n- Interdisciplinary Team: PT/OT/SLP, Pulmonary or Cardiac Rehab, Case Managers, Social Workers, Dieticians?: PT, OT, SLP, Case Managers, Social Workers, Dieticians.
\n- Is RT on-site 24/7 Oxygen Therapy /Equipment (ie Cpap, Bipap, High Flow): No RT staff.
\nWill see CPAP, BiPap, O2, Nebs, INH, trach with or without humidifier mister.
\nNo vents accepted.
\n- Pharmacy on-site? Medication dispensing system?: Pharmacy on site Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
\nMedications are administered from pill bottles, no current med dispensing system.
\nRN Supervisor has access to emergency drug closet when pharmacy not available.
\n- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 8.25 HR shifts for licensed nurses including 30 min unpaid lunch break.
\n- Weekend Requirements: Every other but able to work more if desired.
\n- Holiday Requirements: YES.
\nNo set rotation, schedule is made out 2 weeks in advance and will work holiday if it falls on your scheduled day within the current schedule.
\n- Call or Standby Requirement: NO - will work scheduled shifts, don’t send home early.
\n- Floating Requirements: None as this position is covering the entire building.
\n- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color clean, professional scrubs except camo.
\n- Unit/Department Specific Orientation: 3 days
