Machine Operator Trainee - 2nd Shift - Full-time

Location: North Highlands, CA

Job Type: Full-time

Shifts Available: Train on First shift, then moved to Second shift. 

Compensation: $18 - $20 D.O.E.

About the Role

PrideStaff is proud to partner with a leading manufacturing company in the Sacramento area seeking a motivated and dependable production machine operator to join their manufacturing team.

We are looking for candidates with prior experience in manufacturing and assembly to support the team and keep their machines running smoothly. 

What You Will Do

• Learn & Grow: Cross-train on various manufacturing machines, including chain link fence weavers, slatted chain link fence assemblers, wire-bending coil machines, and plastic extrusion machinery.

• Support Production: Keep machines fed with materials, pull finished products, and ensure smooth, continuous operation.

• Monitor Quality: Watch machines closely to ensure products meet high standards, and immediately notify senior operators or maintenance if a machine goes down.

• Take Ownership: Transition from a support role to a skilled operator who independently runs, adjusts, and troubleshoots specific machinery.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience: A strong mechanical aptitude and previous experience as a skilled machine operator.

• Dependability: Punctual, reliable, and ready to work hard every day.

• Team Player: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with operators and supervisors when issues arise.

• Physical Capability: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials (wire/fencing), and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Safety-Minded: A strict commitment to following all safety protocols and wearing required PPE.

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience in machine operation, manufacturing, and warehouse labor.

• Must be comfortable working independently as well as on-teams, following explicit instructions and receiving feedback.

• Safety-toed shoes are required

• Must be reliable and dependable with consistent means of transportation.

• Exceptional organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
